We've been a customer of linked systems for well over a year now. We are using Goldmine version 5.7 and Dynamics SQL
version 7.5. The link is an unbelievable tool to integrate the two systems for our business. We use Goldmine as our
reference point for all of our customers. The link allows us to do everything from entering orders to checking a customers
purchase history all from the goldmine screen. We used to do things in a very redundant and time consuming way. Now all
of the information is right at our finger tips without having to jump back and forth between the two programs.
As for Linked Systems, I would give them a 12 on a scale of 10 and here is why:
1. They will listen to you and have a great ability to configure the link for your needs and even customize certain functions.
2. They thoroughly understand how Goldmine and Great Plains works. We've worked with several other consultant groups
and I've found Linked Systems knowledge to be the best of any of them. In fact, we've retained them for several other consulting needs with Goldmine that do not concern the link program itself.
3. They stand behind the product. If a glitch arises, they've always resolved it for us free of charge when it's a
programming error. When it's a situation where it's a customer pay issue, I've never felt like I've been gouged on the
charges, if anything, I've found them to be a value. Their billing statement is detailed and concise to the point you can track every penny you spend with them in detail.
4. They provide prompt service. I've always received what I was promised, when it was promised.
5. We installed PC Anywhere on our system along with Real VNC. When we need something done, they can jump on a
terminal with us and see firsthand what it is we are doing or need. The fact that they may be thousands of miles
from you is no factor. I often feel like they are sitting in my office and working right over my shoulder.
It was a no brainer for us to make this purchase. We've also purchased Knowledge Sync from them which is a fantastic tool to provide far better reporting capabilities than Goldmine or crystal.
I know this glowing review makes it sound like they used us as a "ringer reference" but I can tell you that I expect a lot
from every dollar we spend on our system. They've exceeded our expectations since day one which is why
I must tell you not to hesitate purchasing the link from them for your business. If anything, they've really helped make me a hero with my boss and made our Goldmine system far more valuable to us as a whole.
